Day 2: Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp

Moorland trek onto Shira Plateau.

Day 3: Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp


Gentle day across rolling moorland.

Day 4: Shira 2 to Lava Tower to Moir Hut


Altitude boost climbing Lava Tower, then descend to Moir Hut.

Day 5: Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp

Remote trekking through rarely-visited highlands.

Day 6: Buffalo Camp to Third Cave Camp

Panoramic northern plains views.

Day 7: Third Cave to School Hut

Steady ascent positioning you for summit night.

Day 8: Summit Day! School Hut to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Slow, steady midnight push to Uhuru \u2014 then down to Mweka Camp.

Day 9: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate → Lodge Transfer


Final walk through rainforest.
