Itinerary

Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,780m)

Drive from Arusha to Londorossi Gate (entry formalities). Trek through untouched rainforest, spotting colobus monkeys and exotic plants.
Camp at "Big Tree".

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp (3,500m)

Gradual ascent out of the forest into moorland, crossing heather-covered ridges to Shira 1 Camp with sweeping views.

Day 3: Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp (3,840m)

Leisurely trek across the plateau, acclimatizing steadily. Optional short hikes in the afternoon to Shira Cathedral.

Day 4: Shira 2 to Lava Tower (4,630m) to Barranco Camp (3,950m)

Trek high to Lava Tower (acclimatization) and descend through beautiful valleys to Barranco Camp under the towering wall.

Day 5: Barranco to Karanga Camp (4,050m)

Climb the Barranco Wall \u2014 an exciting scramble with vast views \u2014 then traverse ridges to Karanga Camp.

Day 6: Karanga to Barafu Camp (4,680m)

A short, steep hike leads you to Barafu Base Camp. Enjoy an early dinner and mentally prepare for summit night.

Day 7: Summit Day! Barafu to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Start around midnight, ascending through Arctic conditions. Summit at dawn, savor your success, then descend slowly back to Mweka Camp.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate → Lodge Transfer

Celebrate your incredible journey. Receive your Kilimanjaro certificate at the gate!
